Decided to brew a stout as i havent done one in a while its all been hoppy pale ales of late.

Recipe
planning to fill 2 fermenters

10kg pale malt (Minch)

750gms roasted barley

500 grms chocolate

250grms flaked barley

400grms treacle

60 grams challenger

started off as a 90 min boil lost light and will to continue so boil shortened to 75 mins.

got off to a bad start when doughing in realised that i hadnt installed filter in mashtun …emptied it and intsalled filter as a result lost a few to many degrees of temp…so heated more water and started again.

Meh also forgot to take OG readings so no idea how strong its going to turn out.
