First Brew of 2017

Had a vial of yeast that needed used up WLP644 was BB 14 Dec 16 so fairly close.

Made a starter. Not a yeast i have used before at present i seem to be experimenting more and more with different yeasts , tend to still keep a few packets of S04 or So5 for when i decide to brew on a whim.Below is the recipe i decided on.

Bit of a gamble as i havent used rye in ages , never used Olicana (spelling error i made with beersmith) and the yeast is a first as well.

Brew day itself was pretty uneventful i started about 1530 and walked out of shed just before 2200.

forgot to take OG reading and add Irish Moss..

now the waiting begins.
